Aerolase Laser Therapy

The Neo Elite is virtually painless. The Era Elite has a “big bark but very little bite.”

Numbing is not necessary for either but is an option for both.

Almost anyone qualifies for laser therapy. At Excolo, we make all of our patients start with a consultation to go through any medical history or contraindications that may disqualify them as a candidate. Schedule your consultation today to see if you qualify!

1. Discontinue retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide containing products at least one week prior to procedure. Be sure to check all skin care products including over-the-counter.

1. If you have any history of cold sores, please let us know as soon as possible so we may prescribe Valtrex for you to take prior and after your procedure.

2. No prolonged sun exposure, spray tanning, or tanning bed use for at least 1 week prior to procedure.

3. Please try to arrive for your appointment without makeup. If you cannot, we can remove it during your appointment.

As for what to bring to your appointment, all we need from you is your favorite playlist/genre of music and ensure the area we are treating is cleaned. If you are getting treated for hair removal, please come fully shaved.

• Neo Elite: There is no downtime for this laser, but please try and avoid significant sun exposure.

• Era Elite: You can expect 3-10 days of downtime based on the level of treatment you receive.

Downtime includes feeling like a fresh sunburn, redness and tightness, some peeling and you will need to avoid the sun as much as possible as you will be very sensitive to it. You cannot wear any makeup while healing and will need to stick to moisturizing the skin via cicalfate.

Neo Elite:

• Please avoid applying anything directly to your skin for the next 15 minutes after your session.

• This treatment helps with stimulating collagen so you want that heat response. There is little to no downtime after Aerolase, you may have some mild redness to the skin for a few hours then will fade.

• Do not use any products like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or scrubs to face for 48-72 hours post-treatment.

• You can resume normal daily activities after each treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure and use sunblock.

Era Elite & Reverse:

• Cool down the skin for the next hour at home with ice/an Ice Pak.

• Avoid working out and excessive sweating.

• Exposing your face/treated area to the sun

• Clean with harsh chemicals like bleach and no make up for the full four days

• Treat skin gentle at all times post procedure

• When skin begins to peel, usually starting on Day 3 do not pick, rub or scrub the skin or use any exfoliants. Cleansing skin 2-3 times per day will help the skin to shed/slough on its own.

• After all skin is healed and peeled completely you may stop occlusive products and start using a gentle moisturizer with no harsh ingredients like Retinoids, Alpha Hydroxy, Vitamin C or anything that will irritate skin. An example of something gentle you can get over the counter is Eucerin or Cetaphil.

• Always apply sunscreen after you are healed, your skin will be very susceptible to burning from the sun.

• After two weeks you can return to your regular skincare routine as long as skin does not burn or feel irritated when applying your normal skincare products. If any of your products feel irritating please continue post care until it subsides.

Neo Elite: Depending on the skin concern, you will need anywhere between 3-7 treatments to see maximum results. Your provider will determine how many sessions you need upon your consultation.

Era Elite: Depending on the skin concern, you will need anywhere between 1-3 treatments a year to see maximum results. Your provider will determine how many sessions you need upon your consultation.

Reverse: You will only need 1 treatment to see results, but we recommend adding maintenance sessions with the Neo Elite laser to enhance the Reverse results.
